What is Individual Therapy?

Individual counseling is a form of psycho-therapy in which you work one-on-one with a therapist.  Sometimes you just need someone to listen and let you process out loud and other times, you need an expert's opinion on how to manage your emotions or relationships. Individual therapy can be scheduled weekly, every couple of weeks or once a month, depending on your needs.  Progress happens with consistency.

Does Individual Therapy work for everyone?

Individual therapy works best with people who are motivated to make changes in their life, are willing to be accountable and would like to learn new skills to manage emotions, stressors and relationships.

    Individual Therapy is contraindicated for: 

    Individual therapy may not be helpful for:
    • People under the influence of drugs or alcohol
      People who are actively psychotic or manic
      People who are unable to follow a thought
